Corporate and Commercial Law

Commercial Litigation

Given the commercial focus of our firm, the bulk of the litigation undertaken by us is in the realm of commercial and corporate law, primarily in regard to contractual disputes and ancillary matters concerning commercial and corporate life.

Property and Conveyancing

Our Property and Conveyancing Department specializes in all aspects of Property Law including developments (and their structuring in order to maximize profit potential) and property syndications.

Labour Law

The firm’s labour and employment law department deals with all aspects of this wide area of law. This includes litigation in the High Court, Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court as well as employment tribunals, such as the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and various bargaining councils.

Family Law

We deal with all aspects of divorce matters (including cross border divorces); children’s matters (including matters relating to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction);  drafting of bespoke ante-nuptial contracts / pre-nuptial agreements as well as post-nuptial agreements (both South Africa and international).

Estate Planning & Wills

Our Wills and Estate Planning Department views each client’s estate planning requirements individually. The focus is on assisting the client to form a composite plan covering the client’s various asset classes in order to maximise efficiency, including through the minimizing of Estate Duty, Capital Gains Tax and Donations Tax payable.
